I've spent most of my life in beauty and wellness. I've been a hairdresser for 30 years, a yoga teacher for over a decade, and immersed in the wellness world for more than 20 years.
In 2024, my best friend Pauline Patterson, co-founder of Dr.PAWPAW, and I joined 50 entrepreneurial women from the UK on a Sisterhood rickshaw rally across India. We travelled from Chennai to Goa, raising money for children in India.
Pauline and I were sharing rooms, and she was worried about snoring. I'd used mouth tape as part of my nighttime routine for years, so I had some with me. In the back of a rickshaw, I suggested she make a Dr.PAWPAW mouth tape.
“Suz, that's an amazing idea. I'm not going to do it. I'm going to help YOU do it.”
Pauline became my mentor, shared her experience and introduced me to Medex. I wanted to make a colourful, beauty-inspired product I'd enjoy keeping beside my serum and moisturiser. Two years of ideas, samples, changes and learning later, BAI Beauty was born.
I still cut hair and teach yoga. Now I'm launching the product that began with a conversation between friends.
